Hello! Welcome to our first blog post! Let us introduce ourselves:
Fox Willow Farm was founded in 2015 by the ever-crazy Saunders family.

We purchased our homestead that year, and began the arduous but amazingly fun task of turning our 10 acres into in a small, fully functioning, organic practice, perma-culture farm. In our first year, we offered a full fruit and vegetable weekly CSA box with a focus on quality and affordability.
Having both grown up in some of the poorest parts of the country (the Appalachian hills of Ohio) we understand better than most how hard fresh fruits and vegetables are to come by when funds are limited. Let's face it: Hotdogs are way cheaper then a pint of strawberries, especially organically raised strawberries. So we strive to bring quality, healthy, and safe produce to all- regardless of whether you can afford $400 at once for a yearly CSA or $15 a week just on the weeks you want, for fresh veggies delivered right to your door, we try to accommodate everyone.

It's also one of the many reasons we started our Pay it Forward Boxes, where we encourage people to send us contact information for local members of the community who may need a little extra boost. Any extra produce or eggs we have available each week, get divvied up between the families names we receive, and delivered directly to their door. We feel strongly that nothing should ever go to waste and we know that there are too many families out there who could use the extra help.

2016 is shaping up to be a beautiful year as we introduce our "Farm for Fooodies!" initiative. We're working hard to bring you some of the more hard-to-find produce options, as well as some of your tried-and-true favorites.

Our hens are also grown and laying this year! So we'll be offering lots of free range organic eggs each week as well. Our girls (and roos!) are so loved, and we're sure it shows in the quality and flavor of their eggs!

We're looking forward to Spring and another great year on the farm. We hope you'll join us!
